Access databases have a suffix ".mdb" and have been used as the default standalone database platform up to v2.0. You do not require a copy of Access to run StrataBugs.
H2 is a cross platform database contained in a single file with a ".db" file type and is the default platform for standalone deployment from v2.1.
You can use the "Copy Database" feature within StrataBugs to move from one platform to another.
When running in Windows on a 64-bit Java platform, you will require a 32-bit ODBC connection if you need to run the legacy charts application. Running legacy charts is not a requirement unless backward chart compatibility is required.
* From July 2015, SBCHart supported under H2 using instructions here.
