Guided Import / Guided Export (or

toolbar icons) - these are the two most useful functions of the Organiser module. Organiser is a tool for importing and exporting data, and the guided import / export combine all the steps for you to make the processes as simple as possible. More about importing and exporting data...
-
Open File (or

-
Open wells (or

-

View
-
Data types... (or
toolbar icon) - opens the Choose data types dialog so that you can set which data types are shown in the workspace. In Organiser, the data types you can see in the workspace are the data types which are saved to your database or file.
Version... - enables you to select a version. More about versions in Organiser...
Remove selected version tab - puts the current version tab (if there is more than one) in a new Organiser window.
Exclude selected wells - if your main table contains wells which you do not need, you can select them and then click this option to remove them from the table.
-
Load data from database into workspace - this is an essential step in exporting data, as only data which is loaded in the workspace is saved to file.
-
Fit table within main frame - by default the column widths in the Organiser frame will be wide enough to accommodate the text. Select this option to reduce the width of the columns in order to display all data types, albeit in reduced width columns.
-
Units - Use this option to choose whether to display the depths in the Organiser frame in Feet, Metres or As drilled (default).
Match
See the Match dialogs page for more information about these options.
The Match menu items allow you to match dictionary data for your well. If when you use the guided import function, you will be prompted to make any of the matches necessary. If you are importing data to the database manually, you will need to match each type of dictionary data which occurs in your file before you match well data and save the workspace.
In all cases the Match dialogs display the workspace data from the external data source on the lefthand side and the data in the database on the righthand side.
